Books! – We have traditional paper books for all ages including board books for the very young and large print for seniors. Our large Graphic Novel collections have something to peak the interests of children, teen and adult fans. Take advantage of our audiobooks on CD collection for a long drive. You may also download ebooks and audiobooks from RI eZone with an Ocean State Libraries library card. |

Book Discussion Groups – The library offers a number of book discussion groups for people of all ages. There are two regular adult reading groups that meet monthly. The Daytime Book Discussion Group meets at 10:00 am on the third Thursday of each month. The Evening Book Discussion Group meets at 6:30 pm on the fourth Monday of the month. There is also a Teen Book Discussion Group that meets monthly. The Children's department periodically offers regular book discussion groups. |

Cafe – If you are looking to relax with a warm or cold drink or a snack in the library, feel free to visit our cafe, which is located on the Second Floor of the Library. Take a break and refresh in the comfortable seating area. All cafe furniture and equipment were purchased with the support of the Friends of the Cumberland Public Library. |

Music – The library offers several ways to hear the latest music or old favorites. Check out our music CD collection for teens and adults in the Circulation area. Children’s music is in the Children’s Room. Borrow music with your Ocean State Libraries card from RI eZone. Cumberland residents can also download and keep five MP3’s per week from Freegal. | |
Movies – We have a large collection of Entertainment DVDs for children in our Children’s Room. Teens and adults may browse the DVDs in the Circulation Area. If you prefer Informational DVDs we have a wide variety on the Second Floor. Ocean State Library card holders may also stream movies from RI eZone. | |
Video Games – Try before you buy! We have games for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Wii U. Video games are located in the Circulation Area. | |
Newspapers – The library subscribes to a number of newspapers including Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, Providence Journal, USA Today, The Woonsocket Call , and The Valley Breeze. Current issues are located in the Circulation Area and three months of back issues are available by request. You may also search back issues of the The Woonsocket Call and The Valley Breeze through one of our online resources. | |
Magazines – We have over 180 subscriptions to magazines for children, teens and adults. All but the most current issues may be checked out. Children’s magazines are located in the Children’s Room; teen magazines are in the Teen Den; and general interest magazines are located on the second floor. | |
Literacy Kits/Toys: The Children’s Department has a variety of Literacy Kits, Toys and Puzzles for circulation. Kits are available in a range of topics from Colors, Adoption, Moving, Alphabet and others. Puzzles and toys such as a parachute or fire truck set are also available. | |
Museum Passes – The Friends of the Cumberland Library generously purchase a number of discount passes to area museums and attractions including the Roger Williams Park Zoo, Mystic Aquarium, the Boston Children’s Museum and more.
