Romiette and Julio by Sharon M. Draper
This book was a book that I was required to read for summer reading at my school. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the book, although it’s a little weird at times. It’s about an African-American girl named Romiette, and a Hispanic boy named Julio, who are threatened by a local gang, the Devildogs, because of they’re ethnic differences. Romiette and Julio try to stop the Devildogs, but it’s more difficult than they think, and the two find themselves in a deadly situation.
