I was really glad that Alice and Patrick were together (Finally!). I was also really sad when they broke up because I had been waiting so long for them to be with each other. But still, I enjoyed the book.

This book is about a camp where juvenile delinquents go to dig holes. it gives the view of the past and present and by the end of the book, shows how they tie together to create the story. this book was really good, maybe even better than the movie! It’s one of my favorites!

She explains to him that she hit Yuzuyu once, and that if she stays with her now, it will start all over again. She promises to find a job and when she finds a way to support herself and Yuzuyu, she will return to get her. After, Yuzuyu meets a boy in her daycare with some troubling bruises. It is revealed that his mother hits him to take out her anger about being isolated from everyone and her husband not having a job. Kippei confronts her at Parents day at Yuzuyu’s daycare. I didn’t like this volume as much. I began to hate Miyako as I read through this volume.
