Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult is about Peter Houghton, a bully victim since his first day of kindergarten. One day he goes to school with four guns and shoots everyone, since he’s had enough, killing ten people including one teacher, and wounding several others. The story takes place at several different points in Peter’s life, from when he was just born, to his first day of kindergarten, to his first day of middle school, to months after the shooting, and everything in between. It is about being nice to everyone because you never know what kind of negative effect your bullying can have on them.

This play is a tragedy about a man named Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth who murder their king, King Duncan, so that Macbeth can become king. Three witches had previously predicted he would become king and that his best friend, Banquo, would father kings. After Macbeth murders Duncan, he becomes king. He wants to stay king so badly that he also murders Banquo and several others, including Macduff’s (his enemy) wife and son, as well as everyone in his castle. Macduff comes and defeats Macbeth in battle by beheading him. Duncan’s son, Malcolm, becomes king.

Will the Kingdom keepers ever see Jess again or will she be lost forever?

This book portrays the lives of many different characters who are all linked from their conflicts, relationships, and careers. With a wealthy father, Amber Sall has faced more struggles than she can handle, while her half sister, Paola, is living the dream life. These two girls battle it out indirectly for years until final they meet face to face when connections start to unfold. A book full of love, hate, and deep conflict, I highly recommend it.
