A Raisin in the Sun

Unlike other books, a raisin in the sun is a drama written in play form. This format takes a little bit of getting used to, but the plot and overall lessons that the book gives are still great. This book portrays a couple weeks in the life of the african-american family, the Youngers who live in Chicago in the 1950s. All of the Youngers have dreams that they want to fulfill, but in the end they all begin to decline. It goes through the families hardships, exciting moments, and discouraging ones as well. The life lessons taught about family, life, love, and friendship are excellent as well. Highly recommended!
