Finding Zasha by Randi Barrow

Hitler changes thousands of lives when he invades Russia in World War II. One boy life changes as well, especially because of how his home was bombed in 1941. Now, Ivan must travel across a huge river, frozen from the cold, without his friends or parents, only with his Auntie. After reading this novel, I loved how much effort was put into really show the feelings of a young boy in Russia who was rebelling against the Nazis. Although the ending was bittersweet, I am very lucky to have been able to read such a good book. Ivan was a courageous character, and I hoped the best for him.
