Anyone from teen to senior citizen is invited to come play chess on Thursday afternoons at the library. Beginners will receive instruction from seasoned players. Advanced players can challenge each other or teach newcomers.

China has a rich culture that is often misundertood by Americans. Join Dr. Xingyu Meng and her assistant Ted McNamee for a 3 week program that will include Tai Chi, basic chinese phrases, chinese crafting, and the art of chinese food!
Participants will feel as though they have been given a firsthand tour of some of the most exciting and secretive parts of chinese culture. If you have ever thought of traveling to China or are just curious about this rising Superpower, you will not want to miss out on Dr. Meng’s introduction to her beloved country!

“ Rants, Raves and Reviews”: a book circle series.
At this meeting, participants will “booktalk” their favorite fiction book
and fill out a Book Recommendation Form, to be posted in the I-Corner!
