“Pet Tales” family program Tuck’s Biscuits ‘a pet education & culinary’ workshop The Childrens’ Room of the Cumberland Library invites families with children ages 3-12 to meet, participate in read-alouds and learn from certified Pet Assisted Therapy Teams . This series of “paws”-on learning programs showcases varied therapy teams (with live animals) focusing on pet education, animal care and animal services and resources in our community. Participants need to register individually for weekly workshops. “Tuck’s Biscuits” workshop will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 6:00-6:45pm. This program will be lead by Michelle Losardo of “Paw Prints of Hope Pet Education Center” featuring a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Tucker, a golden retriever therapy dog, an author reading of the book “Tuck’s Biscuits” and a dog biscuit culinary project. Registration begins Sept. 18th 2010 in the Children’s Room for this program. Please bring your library card when registering. Preference will be given to children who reside in Cumberland. Please note: a live pet will be present during this program.
