Virginia bluebells, Dutchman’s breeches, and Shooting Star are some of the evocative names of Spring ephemerals. These plants are often small and delicate, but make a strong statement, as they appear when very few other plants are even peeking out. Once established ephemerals are easy to grow and will brighten any shaded area.
Beyond showing you the range of plants, Cheryl Cadwell, URI Master Gardener, will cover cultural techniques and companion plants.
