RI’s Battery G in the Civil War

Robert Grandchamp will present a program on his new book, chronicling the life and times of the men who served in Battery G. At every major battle in the Civil War, these men participated, using a new technology, the rifled cannon to bring magnificent results on the battlefield. Robert will share the results of his years of research into these men, including seven soldiers who were awarded the Medal of Honor.

Robert Grandchamp, the author of The Boys of Adams’ Battery G:The Civil War Through the Eyes of a Union Light Artillery Unit has written numerous articles and books about Rhode Island, the Civil War, and the American Revolution. He resides in Warwick, Rhode Island.

This program will include a book talk and a book signing.
