Houdini, HP Lovecraft & My Grandfather

Just in time for Halloween!! Join us for a slide show, book talk and readings from the newest collection of horror, supernatural and detective stories by C.M.Eddy recently published by his grandson, Jim Dyer ( Fenham Publishing , Narragansett,RI) .

Eddy, a friend and confidant of both H.P.Lovecraft and Harry Houdini, was born in 1896 and lived most of his life in Providence. He was a composer, lyricist , theatrical agent and acted as a ghost writer and investigator for Harry Houdini.

Dyer’s presentation is a must for RI history buffs and for those who love weird and macabre tales

Books will be available for purchase at the program. Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit the library.
