Musician Sarah Gardner will be at the Outdoor Gazebo behind the Cumberland Public Library on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.  This is an interactive music show where Sarah sings and accompanies herself on guitar. Kids get to play along with instruments “like a band” and do crazy stuff with scarves. Kids volunteer for leading dance numbers and “helping out” with jams. Parents are welcome to play too!

This 45 minute live music program is part of the 2013 Summer Reading Program “Dig Into READING!” The statewide Rhode Island Summer Reading Program is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services with funds from the Institute of
Museum and Library Services, the Pawtucket Red Sox, Citizens Bank and Pepsi. Local support includes RI Children’s and Young Adult Librarians, and the Friends of the Cumberland Public Library.

This exciting program is for children ages 2-8.  Tickets will be available in the Children’s Room starting Monday, July 22, 2013 and a nominal fee of $0.50 will be charged for individual admission. If there is inclement weather the morning of the show, the show will be held indoors in the Library Community Room on the second floor.

Location: Community Room
