The Children’s Room of the Cumberland Public Library is offering a cooking program this summer called Farm to Plate: Cooking Summer Fresh Foods with Kids. There will be four exciting programs featuring fresh food from the earth that are easy and fun to prepare. We will also be discussing good nutrition, healthy habits, and how simple it can be to eat well; no packaging required! All this will be done in a fun and friendly atmosphere, with stories, songs, and movement activities that supplement our Dig into Reading 2013 summer reading program.
There will be four programs in all for children ages 4-10. You can come to one, two, or all four! This is a drop in program (no registration is necessary). All programs will be held in the Children’s Room on Tuesdays from 4-5pm.
