Richard Lysik’s career includes 30 years as a locomotive engineer and transport supervisor. He worked on commuter, freight and passenger trains with Conrail, Metro North, Amtrak, and the Sea View Railroad in Quonset and retired in 2006. He will talk about how locomotives operate, how breaks on a train work, how cars are switched, and many other topics. He’ll finish with a Q&A session.
Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
