The Children’s Room of the Cumberland Public Library is pleased to offer a Cook-a-Book program for children ages 4 to 8.  This program will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. and will feature the story The Apple-Pip Princess by Jane Ray.  It is an original fairy tale of a humble princess whose love for nature’s beauty restores a kingdom.  In addition to hearing this story participants will enjoy a delectable snack and make a craft to take home. The Cook-a-Book program pairs stories and delectable food in a way that dates back many centuries.
Register for Cook-a-Book in the Children’s Room beginning November 3, 2012.  Please bring your library card with you when registering.  Preference will be given to children who reside in Cumberland.  Donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of the materials.  For more information please call the Children’s Room at 333-2552, x3.
