Ever thought about becoming a beekeeper? Come and find out how to get started and ask bee questions.This free program has something for everyone from 5 to 105. You’ll learn some things you never knew about honeybees and beekeeping.
Beekeepers Lynn Davignon, from Cumberland and Bill Jones from Foster, will explain why honeybees are good, how honey is made and what life is like in the hive.
See samples of bee’s wax, pollen, bee “glue,” frames, expired bees, and the gear that’s necessary to work with bees. As a special treat, a variety of honeys will be available to taste.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
