Fourscore – Violin Concert

Thursday, December 4th at 6:30 p.m.
Location: Community Room

Fourscore, a quartet of young Cumberland musicians, presents “Christmas in Cumberland”! This unique recital, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Cumberland Public Library, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is 45 minutes long. Children, ages 8 and older, and adults are invited to join Library staff for this enjoyable evening of music. Fourscore is made up of the Wright siblings who began studying violin in 2001 and are members of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. This talented group of musicians will perform selections such as Mozart’s unique Tabletop Duet, Fandango, Fiddle Tunes, the Entertainer, Handel’s Messiah and the perennial crowd favorite “Name That Tune.”

Free tickets will be available in the Children’s Room as well as at the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library starting November 24, 2008.
