Nine Men’s Misery is located on the monastery grounds, a short 15-20 minute walk behind the library. It dates back to King Philip’s War (1676) and is believed to be the oldest veteran’s memorial in the United States.

Join John mcNiff, Archeologist and National Park Ranger, who will talk about its history and be our guide for this adventure. He will be dressed in a uniform that a colonist for the militia of the time might have worn. He will also be carrying and firing a musket.

Please plan to wear boots and dress appropriately for the weather.

Reservations assure you a spot. All ages are welcome! (401) 333-2552, x 2.
Location: Community Room
