Storyteller Michelle Bach-Coulibaly will be at the Cumberland Public Library on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. During her dance and storytelling performance, Michelle will use audience cooperation and participation to teach West African cultural traditions, creative word plays and lessons in geography.
This 45 minute program is part of the 2011 Summer Reading Program “One World, Many Stories” The statewide Rhode Island Summer Reading Program is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, McDonald’s Local Owner/Operators of Rhode Island and the All Star Reader Program . Local support includes RI Children’s and Young Adult Librarians, and the Friends of the Cumberland Public Library.
This exciting program is for children ages 4-12. Tickets will be available in the Children’s Room starting Saturday, June 18, 2011 and a nominal fee of $0.50 will be charged for individual admission.
