“Paws to Read” at the Cumberland Public Library
Want to brush up on your reading skills? Love dogs? Practice reading with a therapy dog who loves to listen to stories! The Children’s Room of the Cumberland Public Library is hosting a fun program, Paws to Read, on the second Thursday of the month this summer. The dates for this reading program are July 13 and August 10 from 6:00-7:00 pm and will have a drop-in format, no registration required. Readers, age 12 and under, will have a 15-minute reading session, first come, first served.
There’s nothing better than a book in your hand and a fluffy friend by your side! Participants should bring a book with them so they are ready to read to the therapy dog when it is their turn. Please note: This program is for children who are reading on their own - age 12 and under. All volunteers teams provided by Windwalker Pet Therapy.
For additional information, please contact the Children’s Room at 333-2552, ext. 3. or visit www.cumberlandlibrary.org.
Second Thursday of the month this summer from 6-7pm, drop in format!
