Calling All Local Authors

The Library invites all area authors to participate in a Book Lovers’ Local Author Expo hosted by the Library on Saturday, February 17 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Traditionally-published and self-published authors are welcome to participate.

The local author expo is a venue for local authors to gain exposure, sell books, and build relationships with their audience, all free of charge. Each author will be provided with one table and chair. Authors are responsible for providing copies of book(s) to sell, cash with which to make change for sales, and printed marketing materials. Each author is invited to decorate their space as they see fit. There will not be time for presentations or storytimes.

The public will be invited to meet the authors, get a book signed, purchase copies of titles, and learn about upcoming titles, and get a chance to chat with local authors. A pamphlet with a list of all authors and included book titles will be available at the event for all attendees to take.

Authors who are interested in participating in the Cumberland Book Expo should contact Aaron Coutu, the Library’s Assistant Director, at 333-2552 x128 or acoutu@cumberlandlibrary.org for more information or to reserve a table.
