Chef Sarah Maroney began her culinary career at a young age helping her mother run a small family cafe. She developed a strong passion for fresh ingredients during her formative years on the family farm and has continued to embrace her local roots. Sarah continued on to earn a Masters of Education in Food Service from Johnson & Wales University as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Culinary Nutrition. Sarah's love for baking and pastry grew throughout her career as a chef in the industry. Her first cake was a Star Wars themed cake for a 10 year old's birthday party. Witnessing the expression on the child's face when he saw his favorite characters come to life on a cake made Sarah realized her true passion! From food lover/chef turned cake decorator Sarah's passion shows in her work and we are so happy she will be here with us!

September 30th 1:30-2:30

In this first class learn all the tips and tricks of the trade. During this hour long tutorial our amazing guest chef Sarah Maroney will demonstrate how to make the perfect cakes, and explains all things important from batter to bakeware and oven temps to cooling time. If you wished your homemade cakes were more bakery and less Betty Crocker, then you will not want to miss this class! 

 Class 1: The Basics  (this class has passed but you can still sign up for Frosting and Fondant!)

October 14th 1:30 - 3pm

You learned the Basic Tips and Tricks in class 1, but in this second class frosting is the star! Our wonderful guest chef Sarah will give a 30-minute tutorial then you will have a full hour to practice your new cake decorating skills!

October 28th 1:30 - 3pm

Fondant will be the focus in this final class of the series! Our wonderful guest chef Sarah Maroney will take 30 minutes to walk you through the dos and don’ts, and then you will be able to a get hands on experience in the fabulous world of fondant for yourself!
